PORTLAND -- A man walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound after shots were fired about 9:40 Monday evening near Burnside and 102nd Avenue.
The shooting was being investigated by Portland Police Bureau gang police, according to Sgt. Robert King. Witnesses at the scene were not cooperating, he said.
Friends dropped Brandon Rogers, 23, at the hospital but did not not go with him from there, King said. He had been shot once in the abdomen. He was taken to a trauma hospital for immediate surgery. He was expected to live, King said.
It's not known if the shooting was connected with a fatal gang shooting later Monday night near NE 42nd and Ainsworth.
