PORTLAND-- An off-duty Portland Police Bureau officer was involved in a fight with a 17-year-old at a Washington RVpark, officials said.
Deputies from the Klickitat County Sheriff's Office alerted Portland police Tuesday that Sgt. Jason Pearce had been involved in the altercation Sunday night while on vacation in Trout Lake, Washington, according to PPB Sgt. Pete Simpson.
It happened at 11:30 p.m. inside the Elk Meadows RVPark, Simpson said. But he didn't release further details, citing the pending investigation.
The PPBProfessional Standards Division will review the reports and the case will be forwarded to the Klickitat County Prosecutor's Office.
At this time, Sergeant Pearce remains on vacation, Simpson said.
Pearce is a 19-year veteran of the bureau.
Sgt. Pearce was vacationing with another PPB member, who was not directly involved in the incident, Simpson said.
