DAMASCUS, Ore. -- Three rifles were stolen during a burglary at a Damascus Bi-Mart store early Monday morning, police said.

New surveillance videoTuesday showed the burglary scene from inside the store.

Deputies responded just after 1 a.m. to a burglar alarm inside the store, at 20000 SE Highway 212, said Deputy Marcus Mendoza of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

Responding deputies found the burglar had broken into the store through the roof, Mendoza said. Employees were working to determine what else had been taken.

The suspect knew where to find the keys to gun safes, and police were looking into the possibility it was a former employee. Investigators were also working to determine if the crime was connected to a similar burglary, and if an accomplice was involved.

Deputies searched the area with the help of an Oregon City Police K-9 unit, but did not find the suspect.

Anyone with information was asked to call (503) 723-4949, or submit a tip online here.
