PORTLAND -- P.G.E. crews came to the rescue of a Portland woman trapped in her home by a fallen tree.

The tree came down Sunday morning on Southeast 23rd Avenue, and took power lines with it.

It was so big it was blocking the woman's door and she couldn t get out.

Neighbors weren't sure what happened right away.

I heard a snap, a bang and a thud. and our house just shook, said neighbor Bruce Hamilton.

It made me look out our window to see if anything had fallen at our house, because it really felt like it was that close.

Power crews cut the tree away and made sure the woman inside the home was okay.
