TIGARD, Ore. -- An armed man robbed a Tigard bank and then stole a customer's car and drove away, police said.
At 5:35 p.m. Monday a man reportedly entered the Chase Bank at 11354 Southwest Durham Road, ordered all employees and customers to the floor and demanded money, according to Jim Wolf of the Tigard Police Department.
While on his way out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect demanded car keys from one of the customers, Wolf said. The suspect then drove away from the the bank parking lot in the stolen vehicle.
The abandoned vehicle was found about a quarter-mile from the bank, but the suspect was not located. He was described as a white man with a medium build, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, 170 to 190 pounds. He was wearing a makeshift mask, jeans and dark boots.
Five customers and five employees were inside the bank at the time of the robbery. There were no reports of injuries.
