PORTLAND -- A woman accused of hitting two bicyclists with her car and leaving the scene was arrested after a witness followed her.

Police were first called at about 11 p.m. Saturday to the report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle on Southwest Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway at 50th Avenue.

Responding officers found out that 30-year-old Jasmine Zamora was riding behind 25-year-old Cameron Duff when they were struck from behind by a car that fled the scene, said Portland police Sgt. Pete Simpson.

Zamora was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and Duff was treated at the scene, Simpson said.

A witness had followed the suspect vehicle to a home in the 5700 block of Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway and later flagged down officers to let them know.

Portland police found the suspect vehicle at the home and arrested 32-year-old Lisa Lynn Vesely.

She was jailed on charges of DUII, assault, hit-and-run and reckless endangerment.
