SEATTLE -- Amazon.com's plans for a bubble building in Seattle's Denny Triangle neighborhood have been approved, according to a newspaper report.

The Seattle Times reported Wednesday that a city panel unanimously signed off on the five-story building, which will be made up of three intersecting spheres that range in height from 80 to 95 feet.

The bubble building will include work space and an atrium.

It's part of a 3.3 million square foot design for the Amazon.com campus. The complex will also include three 38-story office towers, a public dog park and a two-way cycle track, according to design firm NBBJ.

A building permit could be issued within six weeks after the approval is formalized, according to the Times report. Construction has already begun on other elements of the campus.
