SALEM Pinot lovers can now apply for Oregon s new wine country license plates.

State lawmakers approved the plates last year but they were not available for purchase until May 14.

Oregon drivers will have to pay an additional $30 for the plates.

The surcharge will be spent on programs to promote agriculture and tourism.
