TIGARD, Ore. -- Investigators said the fire that burned one person and damaged five vehicles in a Tigard parking lot Tuesday was accidentally sparked.

The injured man told investigators he was making hash oil when the fire broke out near Southwest Pacific Highway and SW 74th Avenue just after 2 p.m.

Firefighters said the five vehicles were parked in close proximity to each other and two were a complete loss. Also, three additional vehicles were damaged as a result of heat exposure.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to the Legacy Emanuel Burn Center but no further details about his injuries were released.

Investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.
