PORTLAND A Cricket Wireless store employee was robbed at gunpoint Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at Cricket Wireless at 8226 NE Fremont St. just after 1 p.m. Saturday.

The employee said he took the store s trash out, and when we went back inside the suspect was waiting for him, according to Portland police.

The suspect showed the employee a handgun and demanded money. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect walked out of the store.

He was described as a white man in his 50s, around 6 feet tall, wearing blue sweat shorts and a pink shirt with red sleeves.

Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to call detectives at 503-823-0405.
