PORTLAND -- Spring officially began at 9:57 a.m. Thursday, but the temperature in Portland had barely climbed into the 40s.

KGW Meteorologist Nick Allard said Thursday morning the weather would be more springlike by the time the weekend rolls around.

Thursday we'll see another cool night, with some patchy fog possible tomorrow morning, he said. Then the sunshine returns and stays out through the weekend and through at least Monday.

The warmest day of the year so far was 64 degrees, and Allard said we could tie or top that on Sunday.
