MILWAUKIE, Ore. A former detective with the Clackamas County Sheriff s Office was arrested in Chicago for drug trafficking and is under investigation for 6.3 pounds of Methamphetamine and other drugs found Tuesday in a Milwaukie storage locker, deputies said.

The complicated scheme started to unravel on Valentine s Day when deputies in Chicago pulled over William Floyd Marsh, Jr. (pictured left) for speeding in a construction zone. Inside his car they found $80,000 in cash and two handguns hidden in a toolbox, said Lt. Robert Wurpes with the Clackamas County Sheriff s Office.

Marsh was subsequently arrested by Kane County deputies. That's when he told Sheriff Pat Perez that he was a former Clackamas County detective.

Investigators then searched two Chicago-area storage lockers linked to Marsh where they discovered 55 lbs. of high-grade marijuana and another $2,185 in cash.

Four days later, after getting tipped off by Kane County deputies, officers from Clackamas County s Interagency Task Force searched a storage locker in Milwaukie tied to Marsh. Inside the locker was an impressive stockpile of drugs, Wurpes said.

Investigators uncovered 6.3 lbs of meth, 2.4 lbs. of heroin, and 5.7 ounces of cocaine. Detectives also searched Marsh s home in Creswell, Ore.

Clackamas County deputies arrested 46-year-old Gerald Matthew Wiese (pictured right) on Tuesday in connection with the Milwaukie locker. Investigators believe Wiese was Marsh s accomplice.

Marsh was held in Kane County, Ill. on armed violence, cannabis trafficking, and money laundering charges. His bail was set at $1.5 million. He is scheduled to appear in court Friday.

Wiese was booked in the Clackamas County Jail on charges including delivery of a controlled substance and first-degree burglary. His bail was set at $250,000.

Everyone here at the sheriff's office was deeply disappointed by the news that a former employee of this organization made the choice to violate the laws that all of us are sworn to uphold, Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts said.
