TIGARD, Ore. Three suspects were arrested Tuesday for making as much as $150,000 in fake credit card purchases in Oregon and California, police said.

On Monday, a retailer at the Washington Square Mall called police and identified three suspects who had allegedly bought things with the fake cards at the mall, said Jim Wolf with the Tigard Police Department.

Tu Mengzhao (pictured left), Soong Khailee (center) and Cao Xiaoling (right), reportedly made $8,000 in fraudulent purchases on Sunday and Monday in Tigard alone, Wolf said.

The suspects were spotted Tuesday checking in to the Holiday Inn Express on Northwest Vaughn Street in Portland.

All three were arrested and detectives seized numerous counterfeit cards. The trio was booked in the Washington county Jail on fraud and theft charges.
