GRANTS PASS, Ore. A big-rig flew off an Interstate 5 overpass and landed upside down in Southern Oregon Wednesday morning.

Just after 1 a.m., 28-year-old truck driver Parmjit Singh drove onto the right shoulder of the freeway, hit a concrete guardrail and rolled his semi off the overpass near Northeast Scoville Road near Grants Pass, said Lt. Gregg Hastings with Oregon State Police.

Singh was taken to the hospital and was later cited for careless driving and failing to drive within a lane.

The right northbound lane of I-5 was closed while crews cleaned up the crash.
