COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. Two California women were arrested on Interstate 5 after they were caught with 5 ounces of methamphetamine Wednesday morning near Cottage Grove, police said.

Around 5 p.m., Oregon State Police stopped a Chevy SUV with California plates that was speeding near milepost 172, said Lt. Gregg Hastings with Oregon State Police.

A drug-detecting canine found more than 144 grams of crystal meth hidden in the vehicle, Hastings said.

The driver, Judith Korbler, 41 (pictured bottom left), and passenger Sandra Fulton, 47 (pictured bottom right), both of Ontario, Calif. were arrested and booked in the Lane County Jail for possession and distribution of a controlled substance.
