PORTLAND -- Power was out for several hours for about 4,500PGEcustomers after a car struck a power pole on Southeast 82nd Avenue about 2:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The street was completely blocked for a time between Clatsop and Harney streets. Lanes were partially reopened both ways shortly after 6 a.m. and fully reopened by 8 a.m.

The driver fell asleep just before the crash, said Sgt. Pete Simpson of the Portland Police Bureau. He was not seriously injured.
