PORTLAND -- One lane of Highway 30 westbound was closed Wednesday afternoon while crews worked to repair a broken water main near Kittridge Avenue, transportation officials said.

Portland Water Bureau crews were at the scene just after 2 p.m. and said the repairs would likely last through the evening commute, said Don Hamilton with the Oregon Dept. of Transportation.

Drivers should expect long delays, as traffic could be backed up onto Interstate 405 Wednesday afternoon, Hamilton said.
