TROUTDALE, Ore. -- A woman was hurt when a Troutdale man cleaning his gun accidentally fired a bullet into her apartment next door, police said. The bullet then when through another wall and into the apartment next to hers.

The woman suffered minor injuries when part of her wall broke free and hit her in the head, according to Sgt. Carey Kaer of the Troutdale Police Department. She was not hospitalized.

It happened just after 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Glacier View Apartments at 3000 Corbeth Lane, Kaer said.

The bullet ended up in the third apartment, where nobody was home at the time. The gun owner, 29-year-old Lawrence Wach, was charged with reckless endangerment.
