PORTLAND - An injured bald eagle was found in NorthPortland's Pier Park Thursday.

Portland police said the bird was taken to the Audubon Society for treatment. It later had to be euthanized due to its many injuries. The most significant was the loss of the birds upper beak all the way up to nasal cavities, vets said.

Last month, another bald eagle was found injured on Interstate 84. The bird was treated by vets, but later had to be euthanized due to its injuries.
