HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Hillsboro police officers and the suspect involved in a shooting after a domestic dispute last week have been identified.

Police were called to the report of domestic violence and a related stabbing at 2050 NE Barberry Drive on November 8, according to Lt. Michael Rouches of the Hillsboro Police Department.

The suspect had reportedly assaulted his girlfriend and then stabbed a neighbor who tried to intervene. Police arriving at the scene said the suspect, Gilberto Rafael Perez, was still armed with a knife and refused to drop it.
