PORTLAND -- Democrat Suzanne Bonamici has won a full-term in Congress.
Bonamici defeated Republican challenger Delinda Morgan and two other candidates in Tuesday's election in Oregon's 1st Congressional District.
Bonamici won a special election in January to replace former Rep. David Wu, who resigned in a sex scandal.
In her brief time in office, she has focused on supporting education and issues that affect high-tech companies. She also introduced legislation to help deal with debris from the Japanese earthquake and tsunami that's washing up along the coast.
Morgan is a former heavy equipment operator who now owns a vineyard with her husband. Morgan says she would advocate for small business owners by cutting regulations and getting rid of President Barack Obama's health care law.
