OREGON CITY, Ore. -- A Clackamas County man was taken by life Flight to the hospital after he was trampled by several water buffalo Thursday.

Clackamas Fire crews said just after 9 a.m. they were called to the ranch on TerryEmmert's property on S. Springwater Road near Carver.

The 50-year-old unidentified man had been loading the animals onto a truck and before he could get the door latched, the animals charged out, trampling him.

Crews said the victim had injuries to his legs and possible internal injuries, but that he remained alert and in good humor He was taken to OHSU where for evaluation.

Clackamas Fire spokesman Steve McAdoo said the victim had non-life threatening injuries and was expected to recover.
