SALEM -- A suspect was arrested Wednesday in the investigation into a man who pulled a gun on security officers at a Target store in Salem, according to Sgt. Chris Baldridge with the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
The security officers said they confronted a suspected thief inside the store on Monday afternoon and he pulled out a firearm. It happened just before 2 p.m., at the Target on Center Street.
The suspect was described as a white man in his thirties, approximately 6 foot 3 inches tall, weighing around 190 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Early Wednesday morning, a Salem officer spotted a man walking along D Street who matched the description and arrested him.
Kraig James Fox, 28, of Keizer was arrested on outstanding warrants for a parole violation and lodged in the Marion County Jail. Charges in the Target case are pending, Baldridge said.
Detectives had also circulated a photo taken off a Target surveillance camera, hoping that someone would recognize the man and tip off investigators.
