PORTLAND -- A one-eyed Portland cat whose Facebook page went viral is back home Tuesday night after possibly being stolen, according to his owner.
Sir Stuffington, as he's called, became an Internet sensation after he was rescued and turned into a cute little pirate on Facebook by his new owner. The kitten only has one eye and also has a disfigured jaw.
Owner Aisley Deymonaz says she was with friends and family in her neighborhood, walking the streets and calling his name. Sir Stuffington heard her call and ran straight to her from behind a potted plant about three blocks from home.
I think he waited til it was dark then decided it might be safe to come out when he heard me, Deymonaz explained. She said Sir Stuffington was very hungry but otherwise seemed fine.
Sir Stuffington's lost hours started Monday night. The kitten was headed off to bed according to his Facebook page. But Tuesday morning, Deymonaz reported that someone removed a screen from her Northwest Portland apartment s window and stole the cat overnight.
Deymonaz filed a police report after realizing her cat was missing. She also offered a $1,000 reward for his return.
Last year, KGW reported that Blazer Schaffer had been taking care of Sir Stuffington. Deymonaz and Schaffer were caring for the cat together, according to Facebook. The two recently parted ways according to a post.
The story of his rescue and transformation went viral, getting picked up on websites including the Huffington Post and Mother Jones. His Facebook page has some 54,000 fans.

Sir Stuffington isn't the first Portland pet to make the news recently. Another Northwest Portland pussy cat, Lux, famously attacked his owners, prompting them to call 911, and that story went viral, too.
Lux was featured on Animal Planet's My Cat from Hell this June. He gave cat whisper Jackson Galaxy a run for his money. Galaxy called him one of his hardest cases yet. Last week, theOregonian reported that Lux the cat moved into foster care after the show aired.
Obie the dachshund also made news Monday with an appearance on the Today Show. The previously-overweight Portland pooch first made headlines when he weighed a whopping 80 pounds.
On the Today Show Monday, he appeared after losing 54 pounds, thanks to regular exercise and a high-fiber, low-carb diet.
