MCMINNVILLE, Ore. Deputies are looking for the public s help in identifying a body found on the banks of the Willamette River after having been in the water for six months to two years.

On April 19, the body of a 20- to 30-year-old man washed up on the banks of the river in Yamhill County, according to the Yamhill County Sheriff s Office.

Due to the state of decomposition it was hard to identify the man. Forensic anthropologists from the state medical examiner s office estimated the man could have been in the water for up to two years. He was 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-8 and either Hispanic or a mix of Caucasian and Hispanic, according to deputies.

Deputies released a sketch Tuesday of what the man may have looked like. The victim also had a bandage around his right leg indicating a possible injury or a chronic condition, deputies said.

Anyone with information was asked to call at 503-434-7508.
