PORTLAND -- Police identified the couple Saturday in a Feb. 15 Southeast Portland murder-suicide.
Heather Mari Star Riccardi, 38, was found dead early Sunday morning in Southeast Portland and her husband, 48-year-old Jacques Dreyfus was at the scene alive but later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Portland police.
Officers were first dispatched to the 3300 block of Southeast Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard and entered the apartment where they found the pair, said Sgt. Pete Simpson.
A police tactical team responded to the scene to assist patrol officers, Simpson said.
After some investigation, police determined Dreyfus was under the influence of narcotics and shot his wife multiple times. He then called 911 before shooting himself.
Riccardi's death is the second homicide in Portland in 2014.
