SANDY, Ore. -- A former Sandy youth football treasurer faces charges she stole funds from the league.

Sandy police said last week, 42-year-old Susan Marie Farness turned herself in at the Clackamas County Jail following a grand jury indictment.

Farness was accused of embezzling over $23,000 from the league. She was indicted on 14 counts of theft and 28 counts of identity theft.

Farness served as Treasurer for the Sandy Youth Football (SYF) league from January 2011 until her resignation from the board in July 2012.
