PORTLAND -- The Multnomah County district attorney's office has released transcripts from the grand jury review of last month's fatal Portland police shooting of an Iraq War veteran.
The grand jury last month found no criminal wrongdoing in the shooting death of 32-year-old Santiago Cisneros, who lived in Seattle.
Officers Michele Boer and Brad Kula testified they returned fire after Cisneros shot at them on the top level of a parking garage.
At a Thursday afternoon press conference, police officials said they don't know why Cisneros followed the officers to the garage and took out a shotgun.
Police recovered four spent shotgun rounds. Officers fired at Cisneros 22 times.
Santiago Cisneros Sr. told the grand jury his son suffered from depression and had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.
