EUGENE, Ore. (AP) Three civilian employees of the Eugene Police Department are under investigation after auditors couldn't locate 1,100 items that had been held in the property control unit.

Police Chief Pete Kerns told The Register-Guard (http://is.gd/LRAFm8 ) Wednesday that questions about the employee arose earlier this year as the department upgraded its property control system.
