PORTLAND Police used an armored vehicle to approach an apartment complex on East Burnside Street Saturday after reports someone was shooting a gun.

At 11:20 p.m., police learned multiple gunshots were fired in an apartment complex at 16047 East Burnside Street, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau.

Gresham police showed up to help with an armored vehicle and safely approached the building. They then used a loudspeaker to get the attention of everyone inside the apartments.

Police cleared all the apartments but did not find any gunshot victims. They did, however, find evidence of gunfire but no witnesses would cooperate.

The Gang Enforcement Team is investigating and anyone with information was asked to call 503-823-4106.
