PORTLAND -- Police are hoping the public an help them figure out the identity of the woman who was found dead Tuesday in Washington Park.

A ranger found the body in a a wooded area just off SW Jefferson Street, west of the Vista Bridge. according to Lt. Robert King with the Portland Police Bureau.

On Wednesday, police released a description of the woman. They said she was white, 5'3 tall, 100 pounds, with long black hair. She has no scars, marks or tattoos. She was wearing a Metal Milisha sweatshirt like the one pictured in the photo at left.

Homicide detectives are investigating but the Oregon State Medical Examiner has not yet determined a cause of death.

Investigators said no recent missing persons cases match the woman's description.

Washington Park is a popular area for hikers and joggers. Some told KGWon Tuesday that their sense of security has now been rattled.
