SALEM A motorcycle rider was cited Tuesday after a sheriff s deputy clocked him doing 133 mph on a country road.

David Ladeby, 26, of Salem was cited for careless driving and speeding at around 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Marion County Sheriff s Office.

Ladeby was followed by a deputy in an unmarked Ford Mustang after the officer spot Ladeby weaving in his travel lane along Cordon Road Southeast, deputies said.

The rider turned onto McCleay Road Southeast and sped out of sight. When the deputy finally caught up with Ladeby he was going as fast as 133 mph, according to deputies.

The deputy then turned his lights on and Ladeby pulled over immediately.

The charge carry penalties of up to $1310.00 in fines and a 90 day license suspension, deputies said.
