PORTLAND It was the hottest day of the year so far in downtown Portland Saturday. The unseasonably warm May continued with temperatures reaching a high of 86 degrees, said KGW Meteorologist Rod Hill.
At PDX, temps have averaged more than 8 degrees above normal, which Hill said is almost unheard of.
Saturday, however, will be Portland s last afternoon of partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the 80s.
Things will be nice on Mother s Day with a few showers but mostly dry areas and temps in the 70s.
A cold front should head in to the metro area early Monday morning and we should see a period of steady rain in the morning.
