PORTLAND -- A Portland climber who had to be rescued from Mt. Hood on Wednesday talked about the ordeal Saturday from his hospital bed.

Robert Finke, 52, fell off the back side of the hogs back ridge about 10,000 feet up the mountain.

Two others people were climbing with him. He said he slipped and fell more than 100 feet and broke his leg.

It was a pretty bad dislocate, the tibia, fibula was broken right above my boot line, so yeah it's a little uncomfortable, Finke said.

It took hours for rescue teams to reach him. He said they did a great job.
