EUGENE, Ore. -- A man who took pictures of at least 13 women in restroom stalls was sentenced Wednesday in Eugene to 10 years in prison.
The 45-year-old Eugene man, Richard Douglas Casavan, pleaded guilty to charges of invasion of privacy, burglary and possession of methamphetamine in a 31-count indictment.
Lane County Deputy District Attorney Christopher Parosa asked for a long sentence because Casavan faced nearly identical charges in 2005.
The Register-Guard reports Casavan was arrested in January when he was caught in a women's restroom. Authorities said he would hide in a stall and slip his cell phone under the stall divider to take photos and videos of women as they sat down.
