PORTLAND -- Husband and wife firefighters are back home after adopting four children from Uganda.

It was a happy homecoming for Ted and Kelsey Willard who spent nearly two months overseas going through the adoption process.

On Friday it was all over and the kids are officially theirs. At least two dozen family members and friends stood outside the e-terminal to welcome the new Willard family home.

In February, Ted and Kelsey, both firefighters in Clackamas, went to Uganda to adopt four siblings. The two brothers and two sisters range in age from 2 to 8 years old.

The children became orphans after both their parents died--the mom from giving birth, and the dad from a car accident.

The Willards were ready to adopt and knew this was their opportunity. They say it s been an emotional ride.

The trip from Uganda to Portland took 22 hours and everyone Friday was anxious to go home and get some sleep.
