PORTLAND - A driver suspected of being intoxicated and causing three hit-and-runs was arrested trying to flee from deputies, police said Thursday.
Clackamas County deputies said a 911 caller alerted them to a hit-and-run collision on the offramp to Sunnyside Road from I-205, where a truck reportedly crashed into two other vehicles right before 11 a.m.
Two people in that crash were hurt and taken to the hospital.
Another driver stayed on the phone with dispatchers while following the suspect, who was running red lights and speeding, police said.
The suspect truck hit another car at Harmony Rd and SE Linwood. One person was hurt in that crash. Their condition is unknown at this time.
The final collision happened minutes later on Linwood, between King and Queen. The truck crashed into a fence, then the suspect took off through a backyard.
Deputies found and arrested 33-year-old Bayron Rene Estrada Aldana, charged with hit-and-run, reckless endangerment and DUII.
