GRESHAM, Ore. --Mourners gathered for a candlelight vigil at a Gresham Starbucks to remember slain 21-year-old Whitney Heichel Saturday.
Mourners had a chance to gather and remember the vibrant woman whose body was found on Larch Mountain Friday.
Heichel worked as a barista at the Starbucks at 2233 Northeast Burnside Street in Gresham and had a lot of friends through her church and workplace.
Starbucks released a statement on their facebook page late Friday expressing their sadness regarding Whitney's death.
The search for Heichel started Tuesday after she failed to arrive for her shift at the same Starbucks where people have been gathering, lighting candles, and held a moment of silence.
Jonathan Holt is charged with aggravated murder. Investigators say the 24-year-old lived in the same apartment complex as Heichel and her husband, and was an acquaintance.
Police have yet to release a possible motive or say how Heichel was killed.
