PORTLAND -- A 23-year-old man was arrested Friday night for allegedly attacking several passengers on a TriMet bus, and then running from police when they arrived.

Then on Monday, the district attorney's office announced the charges were dropped.

Another passenger videotaped the alleged attack and later posted it on YouTube. The video appeared to show Daniel Lee Juarez Jr. suddenly threatening passengers on the bus near SE 82nd Avenue and SE Powell Boulevard, according to Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson.

Juarez began shoving passengers and struck one adult male a few times in the face, Simpson said. Juarez then got off the bus and got back on to throw a garbage can, then got off and ran from arriving officers.
