PORTLAND -- Temperatures around Oregon and Southwest Washington got very chilly Wednesday night, but conditions are about to heat back up -- fast.

Temperatures dropped into the 20s in Bend, La Pine and Sunriver Wednesday night. In Portland and Vancouver, some areas fell as low as the 30s.

But 90-degree temperatures are in the forecast for the upcoming holiday weekend!

The weather pattern is starting to change, and the change will lead to more sunshine and much warmer weather, KGWMeteorologist Nick Allard said Thursday. In fact, Today we'll see temperatures in the mid-70s which is warmer than the past couple of days.

Thursday's high in the Portland Metro area was expected to reach 76 and 77 for Friday. Then, on Saturday, the high will shoot up to an expected 90 degrees, followed by 89 on Sunday and 88 on Monday.
