PORTLAND -- TriMet has partnered with federal agencies to increase security on the transit system, following the death of Osama bin Laden.
TriMet spokeswoman Mary Fetsch said the increased security began on Monday. Additional uniformed employees have been looking for any suspicious behavior or items.
We're all on heightened alert, said Fetsch.
Fetch said the additional presence was provided by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA), part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
There's no word on how long the additional enforcement will stay on the transit system.
