Another major change could be on the way for Oregon high school athletics.

On Monday, the Oregon School Activities Association recommended adding hybrid leagues.

Under the proposal, a Class 6-A team could play a Class 5-A team, depending on where in the state they are located.

Principals and athletic directors came from across the state to plead their case. Some want to stay in their leagues. Others want to be moved.

The reasons behind the proposed change were travel issues, geography, safety and cost.
