LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. An explosion blew out the windows of a downtown Lake Oswego restaurant late Saturday night, police said.

Scratch Restaurant at 149 A Avenue was empty around 11:30 p.m. when firefighters responded to the report of an explosion.

They found the front windows blown out into the street, smoke coming from the building and a fire burning in a room off the main restaurant area, according to Gert Zoutendijk, Fire Marshal of the Lake Oswego Fire Department.

Firefighters brought the fire under control and made sure the blaze hadn t spread to nearby structures, Zoutendijk said.

No injuries from the explosion were reported.

Zoutendijk said he was working to determine the cause of the fire.
