LEBANON, Ore. Two people were killed early Saturday morning when their vehicles collided on Highway 34, near Lebanon, police said.

At approximately 1:22 a.m. Saturday, a passenger car driven by a woman with three male passengers veered off Highway 34 onto the gravel shoulder, hit a mailbox and then slid across the westbound lane and slammed into a Ford Thunderbird, according to Oregon State Police.

The woman driving the car and her right front passenger died at the scene. The two rear passengers were taken to the hospital, one with minor, one with serious injuries.

The driver of the Thunderbird, Kenneth Henley II, 29, of Albany, was taken by police to the Lebanon Hospital with minor injuries, police said.
