KEIZER, Ore. Crews rescued the driver of a car that had run into a creek north of Keizer Tuesday morning.

An officer arrived at the scene if the car crash Tuesday morning to find a vehicle that had driven off the roadway, down an embankment, and landed nose-first into a creek.

The driver of the vehicle was still trapped inside, according to the Keizer Fire Department.

Keizer and Marion County firefighters arrived and went to work clearing brush from the hillside. Once cleared, crews were able to scale the embankment and, using ladders, reach the vehicle and driver.

It took 10 minutes to pull the driver through the rear window of the vehicle, rescuers said.

The driver was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.
