PORTLAND Firefighters Monday morning were mopping up hot spots at a Southwest Portland home after embers reignited from a Sunday night fire.

Crews were called just after 11 p.m. to the fire on Southwest Westwood Drive at Southwest Terwilliger Boulevard.

Two people inside had called 911 to say their living room was on fire, but that they were staying inside to put out the flames.

Firefighters responded to ensure the fire was extinguished, but apparently missed a few hot spots. Around 4:15 a.m., the flames started up again.

Crews used a ladder truck to get up to the roof and sprayed foam inside the building. They stayed on the scene to mop up hot spots.
