PORTLAND Officers swarmed to Northeast Portland Wednesday afternoon after reports someone was firing shots at a vehicle, police said.

Around 4:30 p.m., police spoke with witnesses who said a man on foot was firing at a passing vehicle at Northeast 15th Avenue and Northeast Lombard Street before taking off running, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.

Police and a K-9 unit searched the neighborhood but did not find the suspect or any victims.

The suspect was described as an African American man in his 20s, 5-foot-8, with a thin build and wearing dark clothing.
