PORTLAND -- Flights are back to normal after a computer problem grounded Southwest Airlines flights across the nation.
The problem started around 8 p.m. Pacific Time, which mostly affected flights on the west coast.
The problem was an internal computer that dispatches planes. Southwest said it had a team of experts that worked to solve the problem by 11 p.m.
Any flights that were in the air when the problem arose landed safely. No planes took off until the system was fixed.
