BEAVERTON, Ore. -- A driver for some reason lost control after pulling out of a car wash in Beaverton Thursday afternoon and crashing into a tree, police said.

The car came to a stop in a yard after not only taking out the tree, but also hitting several street signs, according to officer Mike Rowe with the Beaverton Police Department.

The driver has not been identified. Rowe only said the person was more than 80-years old.

The driver and a passenger in the car were transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
