OREGON CITY, Ore. A woman was killed in a crash between two cars on Highway 99E Friday afternoon. Traffic was closed for four hours near mile post 17 just north of South End Road, police said.

At around 1:30 p.m., 31-year-old Eric Hoskins of Molalla was driving a Dodge Durango northbound on Highway 99E when he crossed the center median and collided nearly head-on with 62-year-old Susanne Forman of Scotts Mills who was driving a two-door Ford, said Lt. Gregg Hastings with Oregon State Police.

Forman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hoskins was taken in an ambulance to Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City. Investigators were still looking into the cause of the crash.

Officials urge travelers to drive carefully during potentially hazardous winter driving conditions. They warn drivers to be careful on mountain passes and other areas as people head out for the weekend and upcoming holidays.
